Hino Motors announced the official launch of its latest pure electric bus product, the “Blue Ribbon Z EV” series, on October 31. The design of this model pays special attention to barrier-free riding experience, adopts a full-flat low-floor design, eliminates the steps in traditional buses, and greatly reduces the risk of tripping for special groups such as elderly passengers when they are moving in the car.
In terms of power system layout, the R&D team innovatively installed the large-capacity high-voltage battery pack on the roof and at the bottom of the rear seats. This unique design not only optimizes the space utilization rate in the car, but also provides greater flexibility for the compartment layout. The city bus version launched on the market this time has a range of up to 360 kilometers and can carry 70 passengers. The official price of this model has not yet been announced.
As a pure electric model, the bus has advantages over traditional fuel buses, such as low noise and less vibration, and is increasingly suitable for the actual needs of urban public transportation. It is worth mentioning that this electric bus is also equipped with an external power supply function, which can be converted into a mobile power supply vehicle in an emergency to provide residents with household electricity support, playing an important role in special scenarios such as disaster relief.
