The Japanese government approved a 39 trillion yen (approximately $250 billion) economic stimulus package on Friday. The main contents are as follows:

The government will implement these measures:

  1. Distribute 30,000 yen cash payments to low-income households exempt from resident tax.
  2. Adjust tax-exempt income threshold, raising the current 1.03 million yen standard to increase disposable income.
  3. Provide subsidies to curb increases in electricity, gas, and gasoline prices.
  4. Compile a 13.9 trillion yen supplementary budget to support the stimulus package implementation.
  5. Extend multi-year support programs for artificial intelligence and semiconductor industries.

This economic stimulus package reflects the Japanese government’s specific measures in addressing economic challenges and supporting key industry development.
