Suntory launches limited edition “Hibiki 40 Years” whisky, priced at 4.4 million yen

Suntory announced on the 29th that it will sell a limited edition of 100 bottles of “Hibiki 40 Years” whiskey in Japan, which will be sold by lottery at a price of 4.4 million yen. This product is the longest-aged model in the “Hibiki” series. Although the price in overseas markets such as the United States and Europe was as high as 35,000 US dollars (about 5.4 million yen), it still attracted widespread attention on SNS and other platforms due to the widespread popularity of Japanese whiskey.

Reservations for this product will be made through a dedicated website from November 5 to 12, and the official release date is May 27, 2025. A total of 400 bottles of this whisky will be sold in overseas markets, with Japan having the highest sales volume. The bottle capacity is 700 ml and is carefully blended with malt and grain raw alcohol distilled and stored in Japan before 1983.
